I swear, being home ages me 50 years. I can't stay up past 11:00pm anymore, and I effortlessly spring out of bed at no later than 8:30 am.
I also quickly began experiencing that old familiar feeling that i associate with home: apathy, unwillingness...the new braunfels leech turns me into a hermit.

i can't put it down. i've honestly forgotten that i enjoy reading.

tuesday

had a dream last night that richard ramirez, jr. got accepted to yale and n.b.c.a made us say the pledge of allegiance to him. i was so mad!!!

a new snack recipe i invented is plain yogurt mixed with berry applesauce with (crunchy) cereal on top. summer '08 is all about applesauce.

i just purchased a small used george forman grill at the n.b senior center thrift store for $5. they had a road bike there for $15 that i was so tempted to buy, but i think it might be a little too rusty/old to be realistically useable. i also almost purchased a $2 tape recorder deck, but i think it might have been broken. it seemed like a practical electronic to own at the time.

i went to yoga this morning at the Y and it was disappointly bad for some reason. the teacher was a bit too zen for my liking. not that zen is bad, but it's just so awkward when it's unsuccessful/fake/corny/unbearable.

i really need to start working because i'm getting antsy. on the plus side, i found (brittany gave me) a mini rubberband to tie up my hair wrap!

i just returned from the beach. i'm sunburned slightly and my chest has that itchy, raw feeling that comes with sunburned skin. on the plus side, i've acquired the company of a rainbow hair wrap for the summer (hopefully!) as well as a parrot kite (also rainbow--interesting)
The camera company that I ordered my digital camera battery from sent me microsoft office by mistake? what?
i'm on page 100 of wm.faulk.'s absalom absalom! and i'm not sure how i feel about it. the sentences are really windy and extremely repetitive. sometimes it's just boring, to be honest.

too much food network for one sitting

it's nice to be home: my cooking skills are being sharpened, i'm doing absolutely nothing productive, and i'm catching up on my television shows.
the highlight of my cooking endeavors has involved mini-fritattas in a muffin pan, which are awesome and make me feel so domestic.

So much dramaz goin' down, too. i'll keep this cryptic. (not that either of these people would ever read my stupid blog). oh, new braunfels. nothing says "trailer trash" like you do.

on an unrelated note, voltaire's coffee makes me suicidal.

extremely busy and exceedingly apathetic

as i'm clearing out my belongings from the famed Kinsolving 172, I feel like this small collection of myself is...strange. It's odd how much I think I've changed in just a year.
This is not going to be a reflective "dear dairy" moment, but it's just a thought.

sometimes i question the sanity of my friends when we begin with a humble dinner party accompanied by baked tofu, vegetables, and strawberry shortcakes, and end with newlywed games, contemplating what cut of meat we'd be, and eating six-month-old freezer burned date and sweet potato muffins. i'm in college.
